Overeaters (2006) by Andreas Fischer (German, b.1982) This artist should not be confused with a 16th century artist named..well Andreas Fischer.  Andreas the Elder painted coat of arms, while Andreas the Younger paints..arms, legs, naked bodies, etc..  I believe this stuff is in the greatest tradition (tradition:30 years ago!) of the Neo expressionism movement that swept Europe and America (remember Mary Boone carrying wet oils by Lupertz and friends?) in the early 80’s. Now there’s another Andreas Fischer who’s an American..hmmm.  Very strange. I’ll keep you posted … a choir boy named Andreas Fischer..weird.
